Interface Labs, Inc., doing business as Interface ("Interface," "we," "us," or "our"), provides software for industrial document management, compliance, and field procedure execution. This Privacy Policy applies to getinterface.ai, the Interface web dashboard, the Interface Field App for iOS and Android, and the APIs and services that support them (together, the "Services").
Interface is a business-to-business product. Most account and workplace data is processed on behalf of the customer organization that invited you. If you use Interface through your employer, that organization is typically the controller of your workplace data, and we process it under our contract with them.

1. Information we collect
Account and contact information
Name, work email address, employer or customer organization, role, authentication credentials, and similar profile details. Sign-in is handled through Amazon Cognito. Some organizations sign in with single sign-on, for example Microsoft.
Dashboard and workplace content
Documents, procedures, sites, assessments, vendor records, findings, action items, tasks, comments, recordings, training materials, forms, notifications, and other records you or your organization create or upload in the web dashboard. Administrator activity such as user management, permissions, and audit history is also recorded.
Field App content
Procedure sessions, photos, videos, and optional audio narration captured during field execution, plus records stored locally on the device for offline use before they sync to your organization's workspace. The Field App requests camera, microphone, and photo-library access only for evidence you choose to record. We do not collect precise GPS location.
Device, app, and usage information
Device type, operating system, browser or app version, crash and diagnostic logs, approximate product-usage events, and push-notification tokens. We use analytics and error-reporting tools, including PostHog and Sentry, to operate and improve the Services.
Website and support
When you visit getinterface.ai we may collect IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar log data, including through Vercel Analytics and the cookies described below. We also collect information you send by email, demo request, or support ticket.
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate, secure, and support the dashboard and Field App
- Authenticate users and manage access for customer organizations
- Sync Field App data, including offline records and media, with the customer's workspace
- Send product, service, and security notifications
- Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve reliability
- Process documents and related content with subprocessors, including cloud infrastructure and AI providers, to deliver product features your organization uses
- Respond to inquiries, provide demos, and communicate about the Services
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use dashboard or Field App data to show third-party advertising.
3. How we share information
- Your organization.Administrators and other authorized users can access workplace data according to that organization's permissions.
- Service providers. Vendors who help us run the Services, such as Amazon Web Services for hosting, storage, email, and authentication, plus Vercel, Expo, PostHog, Sentry, and AI providers used for document and procedure features. They may process data only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Interface, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

4. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses a consent manager. Necessary cookies operate the site. Marketing cookies are used only if you allow them, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie controls on the site.
The dashboard and Field App use technologies needed to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure product usage. Those are part of providing the Services, not advertising cookies.
5. Retention
We retain account and workplace data for as long as needed to provide the Services to the customer organization, and for a reasonable period afterward as required by our contract, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or security needs. Field App data may remain on a device until it is synced, cleared, or the app is uninstalled.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. Interface maintains a SOC 2 Type 2 certification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
If you use Interface through your employer, start with your organization's administrator for access, correction, or deletion of workplace records. You may also contact info@getinterface.ai.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. We will honor requests as required by applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity or redirect a request to the customer organization that controls the data.
You can disable push notifications and revoke camera, microphone, or photo-library permission in your device settings. Some Field App features will not work without those permissions.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children and are not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International processing
We are based in the United States and process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Services or by email where appropriate.
