Permits and procedures are usually managed in separate lists, so nobody can easily see that a piece of equipment has two active permits, a procedure in progress and an open work order at the same time. That combined view is exactly what a supervisor or permit coordinator needs before approving more work.
Showing them on the asset in a digital twin solves this, since the coordinator can click on equipment or an area and see everything active there. This is a core part of how Interface uses the site model, with live work shown where it is happening rather than in separate systems.
