The receiving step already records what arrived and when, so the system can use that event to create an inspection work order for the right inspector straight away. Without that link, someone has to notice the delivery and create the work order by hand, which is often where delays start.
The work order should include the equipment details, the inspection checklist that applies to that type of equipment and any documents or certificates that came with it. That way the inspector has everything they need when they start, rather than having to go and find it.
