It can produce a solid first draft, which is useful for new assets where there is no operating history to write from. The P&IDs show the equipment and flow paths, the OEM manuals cover startup and maintenance requirements, and the standards set the rules the procedure has to follow, so AI can pull those together into steps that a team then reviews and adjusts.

The draft is a starting point and not an approved procedure, since things like site layout, crew practice and lessons from commissioning only show up once the asset is running. What it saves is the blank page, which on a new facility can mean hundreds of procedures that would otherwise be written from scratch.
